The Village of Kronenwetter is in danger of losing another Administrator and this time the reason for his potential departure is clear.
In my opinion, Peter Kampfer is the most talented, best qualified, and highly experienced Administrator that Kronenwetter has had in years. It will be a tragedy for the Village if the Village Board does not unite behind Kampfer and give him their support.
Comments from Administrator Kampfer Regarding the Email from the Fire Chief and Calling of the Special Meeting. (Emphasis Added)
Administrator Kampfer: … if everybody has to see everything that I write from the GetGo. I mean this thing will never work here not at all on any level.
All it does cause confusion and I’m even finding out more about that you know as we’re putting together packets.1
I got a lot of people sticking their finger in the pie and this manager here is not good enough no matter whatever I come from in my own background I can’t deal with this whole scenario.
The next thing I see is really an inappropriate communication and email you know enclosing from the fire chief and then all of a sudden we got we got a request to have a called meeting.
The last paragraph and the communication I know you read and the rest of the board read I’m thinking was highly inappropriate professionally on any level.
As a management, part of my management team, I think it is awful and if this is the way we’re going to communicate, if this is the way we’re going to operate there’s no future that I can see.
With you know my scenario being here trying to represent you this is my trying to be a professional and then I got to read from a subordinate mind you something to my extent and my execution what I’m trying to do here and my best intent.
Now she doesn’t know that I did absolutely nothing to that point against her and I still have not.
Despite the comments from Adminstrator Kampfer, later in the meeting Trustee Vedvik insists that the Fire Department and the Fire Chief be responsible for the ambulance implementation, undercutting the authority of our new Administrator.
Trustee Vedvik: I move to direct the sub-commmittee to work with the fire department on implementing an ambulance service.

NOTE Added 7/23/24. According to Trustee Coyle, the login credentials (User ID and Password) were provided to Trustee Coyle (and presumably all Trustees) during orientation. Trustee Coyle says that he has only used this access perhaps 3 times during his tenure.
