Mosinee School District sent Kronenwetter a Bill for Election Ballot Errors

The Mosinee Superintendent of Schools, Greg Doverspike, has sent an invoice to the Village for $2,250 for costs associated with “the recent errors related to the election and ballot results in the Village of Kronenwetter.” The letter and invoice are on the Agenda for the 1/27/25 Village Board Meeting.

It is not completely clear how many voters were impacted by the ballot errors. Mr. Doverspike filed an election complaint which alleged that “the clerk handed out DC Everest School District ballots to all residents despite the fact that around 1/3 of the residents of the village are in the Mosinee School District.”

Mr. Doverspike’s election complaint was not accepted by WEC as only Kronenwetter residents can file WEC election complaints against the Kronenwetter Village Clerk.

Note: The Letter and Invoice were apparently scanned into the packet at an angle.
