Subcommittee Members Call for Referendum on Ambulance proposal and Seek to ensure that Referendum is worded in a manner that it will pass.
Mr. Chairman I guess I’d like to emphasize that I think the the wording of the question itself on the for the referendum should remain the purview of this committee. I think we should be the ones that draft the question no disrespect to the board but I think that we have the most information we’ve had a lot of public input uh there’s been a lot of questions good questions that were raised from the public so I think we have the best knowledge base to construct the question. So I don’t know how we enforce that upon the board but I think uh they should understand that it’s within our purview …
I think somewhere in that wording it has to be stipulated that the committee is going to construct the [referendum] question …
Discussion was also held regarding disbanding the ambulance subcommittee if the referendum recommendation is not passed by the board.
… recommendation were to not pass that the ambulance subcommittee respectfully be dissolved…
… might want to wait on that…
…. does he think it would be threatening? the board would take it as a threat? … might take it the wrong way …
