Trustee Vedvik provided misinformation to the new Ambulance Subcommittee. Trustee Vedvik instructed the Subcommittee that it was within the Subcommittee’s scope to provide a feasibility study, defying the Board’s will and vote to hire an independent firm to conduct the feasibility study. President Voll was present at the Subcommittee meeting, but did not correct the misinformation.
Board Vote at July 17th, 2024 meeting.
The Village Board voted 7-0 on July 17, 2024 to “to direct staff to draft an RFP for a feasibility study on the ambulance service.” Trustee Eiden made the motion to conduct a feasibility study and it was clear from his comments that it was to be conducted by an independent, unbiased, firm and not by the Ambulance Subcommittee.

Trustee Eiden .. That’s why I support a feasibility study because the one thing is that you know when we do get a firm that will do that we can let them know we will share our data too that they can look at it. I mean because that’ll be a bonus I think I mean that they can look at it with open eyes with what they can do for research that then we can have a really unbiased decision and honestly if we do save that kind of money it will offset the cost of that study …”
August 27, 2024 Ambulance Subcommittee Meeting
Trustee Vedvik Instructed the Ambulance Subcommittee that the feasibility study was within the scope of the Ambulance Subcommittee and that the study was at the Subcommittee’s discretion. This is clearly misinformation and ignores the 7/17/24 vote and will of the Village Board.
Trustee Vedvik’s scope comments:
Trustee Vedvik: The project scope. I know this is a little bit nebulous … The idea was to go on a parallel path I know it sounds a little bit confusing but a parallel path of both the implementation of an ambulance service in Kronenwetter as well as a feasibility analysis or study at the committee’s discretion regarding starting an ambulance service for the Village of Kronenwetter.
