Kronenwetter residents need to be able to trust that the Village Elections are run properly and that the Village Records are accurate.
“…It shall be the village clerk’s duty …”…(3) To attend all meetings of the village board; to record and sign the proceedings thereof and all ordinances, rules, bylaws, resolutions and regulations adopted …” WI Statute 61.25(3)
The Kronenwetter Village Board voted to approve the purchase of a Fire Truck at the October 24, 2022 Village Board Meeting. The Board did not vote to approve Financing for the Fire Truck at this meeting. There is no reason to believe that Village Board would not have voted to approve the financing at a later date and in fact it is reasonable to expect that they would have voted to approve the financing.
Less than 3 months later, documents were prepared stating that a) the Village Board approved a borrowing resolution which in fact the Board had never even considered and b) that the borrowing resolution was recorded in the official minutes from the October 24, 2022 meeting – which it most certainly was not.
Village Board President Voll and Village Clerk Birk-LaBarge signed and/or attested to the accuracy of these highly inaccurate documents.
