Good morning, Supervisor Baker,

This communication is intended to memorialize our conversation last evening and to aid in your communication with a constituent regarding their inquiry relative to the intersection of XX, X, and Pine Road in Kronenwetter.

Following our phone conversation on the morning of January 23, 2024, I was able to speak with Highway Commissioner James Griesbach regarding the intersection. Commissioner Griesbach explained that his recollection was that a traffic safety review was conducted by an independent consultant, paid by the County, several years ago (he estimated it was conducted approximately five years ago). Following the review, Commissioner Griesbach indicated that the county implemented the recommendations from the review (e.g., larger signage). Commissioner Griesbach further indicated that based on the continued development in that area, it would be appropriate to conduct another safety review of the intersection. Commissioner Griesbach explained that he would begin working to secure the consultant to do so and that he would anticipate, based on past practice, that the results of the analysis would be delivered to the county at the end of summer 2024, which I understood to be the end of September. Following the receipt of that information, I would anticipate discussion at the County’s Infrastructure Committee regarding the results and implementation of any recommendations.

I hope that this information is valuable to you. Thank you again for reaching out with your constituent’s concern.

Sincerely,

Lance Leonhard
