HHS Committee UNANIMOUSLY approves Supervisor Baker’s resolution to reduce proposed tax increase

The Marathon County HHS Committee unanimously approved Supervisor Baker’s resolution to reduce the 2024 proposed tax increase by $1,500,000 and voted to send the resolution to the HRFC committee for further consideration. The proposal reduces the proposed tax increase without cutting County service by reducing the projected growth of the Social Improvement Fund and received the approval of the County’s Social Service Director, Christa Jensen.
